Loose Women's Kaye Adams slams claims of Denise Welch 'row' on ITV show

Kaye Adams has branded claims of a clash between her and Denise Welch on Loose Women as 'complete tosh' after it was alleged that the Geordie star had tried to 'silence' the host live on air.

Both Kaye and Denise have been almost permanent fixtures on the ITV lunchtime programme since it launched 25 years ago and, on Tuesday, they were both on the panel to join co-stars Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter as the popular show was cut back to just 30 minutes, due to ITV prioritising coverage of horse racing from Royal Ascot.

One of the topics covered by the Loose Women in the much shorter episode was the criticism of US President Joe Biden and, while Denise kept quiet to begin with, she eventually became very passionate as she questioned whether people were being 'ageist' towards the US leader.

The ex Coronation Street actress was accused by one publication of making a 'brutal gesture' in an attempt to get Kaye to be quiet. And, after Denise herself took to Instagram to deny talk of any tension, Kaye too has now reacted to it, with her being much more blunt with her response, as she shared Denise's post and added: "Complete tosh."

Giving her reaction to the claims against her, Denise wrote: "Well blow me down! I thought I had a lovely @loosewomen today with my mates Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street Porter. But apparently not.

"In just a half hour show, I ranted, was furious, rude and brutal. If I'd been a man of course I'd be 'passionate' but hey ho."
