Yahoo News Loose Women's Stacey Solomon announces birth of "darling daughter"
Loose Women star Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have welcomed a "darling daughter".
Solomon has shared the wonderful news in a glowing Instagram post that she has given birth to a newborn daughter on her own birthday, October 4.
Alongside a photo of the little one, the presenter wrote: "She’s Here. Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy's birthday. Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter…
"We all love you more than you could ever imagine. Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love. Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you."
Solomon's fans had speculated in recent days that she may have been in labour because she'd been unusually quiet on her social media feeds.
Among those to send well-wishes to the parents was Kate Lawler, who wrote on Instagram: "She's here! So perfect. Congratulations guys. On your birthday too Stacey. Extra special."
The couple confirmed back in June that they'd be expecting their second child together. Solomon subsequently shared a moving message to her unborn daughter on social media.
"When you're bigger I'll tell you all about the butterflies in my tummy I have every time I think of you... Love you already to the moon and back. Mummy," she wrote.
Solomon and Swash are also engaged, but have decided to push back the wedding they'd originally booked for this past July,
"So we had a venue and then obviously we didn't know we were going to move here but then we saw the house and just thought, 'Oh my god, let's go for it' and now that we are here, we would actually really like to get married in the garden," Solomon explained on Lorraine.
"So we are trying to see if we can do that but we don't know if we will be able to get a licence. So the wedding planning is a bit on hold at the moment, because we don't know exactly where or what we are going to do."
