Yahoo News Lorraine shares photo from her return to the hairdressers with a head full of foils
Lorraine Kelly was clearly excited to get back in the chair at the hairdressers and have her hair coloured on Tuesday morning (7 July), as she posted a selfie from the salon.
Now that hair salons are able to operate again, many of us have been flocking back to get our hair cut and dyed after months of either growing out our locks or trying DIY treatments.
The TV star took to Instagram to share a funny snap, documenting her own return to the hairdresser. With wide eyes and head full of foils, Lorraine was also donning a mask. She praised the salon and her colourist for making her feel safe and reassured, while enforcing the new precautions and regulations.
Lorraine wrote in the caption: "Finally got hair coloured yesterday – thank you @maleekarobb at @fourlondon – all safety measures firmly in place. Felt very reassured."

While lots of celebrities have been posting snaps of their post-lockdown hair transformations and colour touch-ups, Lorraine's candid mid-dye job selfie can't help but bring a smile to your face.
It's nice to see the less than glamorous experience of sitting in the hairdressers' chair with a head covered in tinfoil, portrayed truthfully on social media.
And it's also comforting for those of us still concerned about the safety precautions to see the reality of them in a positive and lighthearted way.
We can't wait to see Lorraine's fresh colour!
