Love Island's Dr Alex reacts to Sam & Georgia backlash
Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham may still be going strong, but the same can't be said for quite a few of their fellow villa couples.
Earlier today, Sam Bird confirmed that he and Georgia Steel are the latest couple to have gone their separate ways in the months since Love Island finished, and their co-star Dr Alex George responded to the news by throwing a bit of shade their way.
"Watching all the Love Island couples break up on the outside when you left the villa single," he captioned a photo of himself drinking on the show, before following it up with the iconic 'Kermit sipping tea' GIF.

The same post on Instagram seemed to gain the approval of some of his fellow Islanders, with the likes of Dani Dyer, Ellie Brown, Eyal Booker and even Sam himself commenting on it.
"Ark at you!!" Dani wrote, with Eyal adding: "Shots fired."
As for Sam, he joked that Dr Alex is "#notloyal", while Samira Mighty added: "You've got well sassy recently."

But not everyone was appreciative of Dr Alex's tweet, and he's now responded to some of the backlash.
Replying to one person who wrote "Someone's getting too big for their boots" in a reply to the initial tweet, Alex wrote: "Its quite obviously a joke... and I am stilll the single one."

So there you have it: Love Island couples may be breaking up, but at least they were in a couple to begin with.
When he's not dishing out tea on Twitter, Dr Alex can sometimes be seen covering for Dr Hilary Jones as Good Morning Britain's resident TV doctor.
