Love Island's Haris responds to fighting video accusations

Love Island spoilers follow.

Love Island star Haris Namani has responded to alleged footage of him fighting in the street, saying he is "devastated" that the video has been circulating on social media.

Following his dumping from the island in Wednesday's (January 25) episode, Haris addressed the video in his exit interview, saying: "I'm devastated that this video has been seen, it's not a reflection of my character. I'm not someone that goes looking for fights and I didn't want to be in that situation.

"This was a heat of the moment thing. The video doesn't show everything that happened," he added. "Afterwards we met up and we cleared the air; we've shaken hands and we get along now. It's not something that would happen again."

The NSFW footage began circulating on social media over the past couple of days, appearing to show the Doncaster boxer squaring up to another man on the street before knocking him to the ground (via The Sun).

A man behind the camera can be heard saying: "Go on Haris", while the former islander appears to shout: "I'm not a bully, I'm not a f***ing bully, on my mum's life."

Haris exited the villa alongside fellow islander Anna-May after newcomers Jessie and Aaron chose to send the pair home.

Haris previously had an altercation in the villa with fellow contestant Shaq Muhammad, after a game of beer pong between the islanders got heated.

Following a kiss between ex-islander David Salako and Tanya Manhenga, who is currently coupled up with Shaq, Haris began stirring things up between the pair. The comments ultimately led to an argument with Shaq before the two were separated by fellow islanders.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
