Luke Littler claimed his second World Series of Darts title of the season after reigning victorious at the Poland Darts Masters at the weekend.

During his run, Littler faced off against Peter Wright in the quarter-finals. Despite his success, the young prodigy confessed that he didn't practice much before the tournament, spending only about 10 minutes on the oche prior to his match with Wright.

He revealed: "People know I don't practice that often, but before the Peter Wright game I didn't practice. I must have had about ten minutes. When he started off well I was just thinking to myself 'I've not practiced'. He averaged 109, Peter missed doubles and I took my shot and then I played well against Smithy and Rob."

Despite Wright's strong start, Littler managed to turn the game around, winning 6-3 and advancing to the semi-finals. Acknowledging the challenge, he said: "We know what Peter can do - he's still got it in the locker - but I was just happy to take my shots. He missed a few doubles and I punished him."

Littler went on to narrowly defeat Michael Smith 7-6, before easily overcoming Rob Cross 8-3 in the final to claim the title. Reflecting on his performance at the PDM, 'The Nuke' stated: "I think I've just grown myself into it beating all these guys I've been looking up to. But I know I can beat them most of the time, and if my performances are there then I will win."

The pro expressed his ambition to clinch another major title before the year's end, specifically before the PDC World Darts Championship, while also planning a brief hiatus to visit Germany. He said: "I'll be happy with another major hopefully, whatever one it is. But I'll have next weekend off, going to go to Leverkusen and then I'll be back for some pro tours."

Littler is tipped as the favourite to triumph at the upcoming World Matchplay in Blackpool next month, facing formidable opponents such as Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen.

Commenting on his prospects, he said: "It shows my performances are why I'm favourite to lift the trophy. But I'll take some rest off, have some practice, go to the pro tours and return for the Matchplay."
