Yahoo News Mackie teases "hilarious" Doctor Who Christmas special
For so long now, the main thing we've heard about the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas specialis that it's going to be pretty emotional.
Series 10 companion Pearl Mackie has already warned fans that they'll need a box of tissues to watch Peter Capaldi's exit from the the series, but now, thankfully, she's also given us something positive to look forward to as well.
Because, according to Mackie, the Christmas special is going to be "hilarious" too.

Speaking on Sunday Brunch this morning (December 17), Mackie was asked to sum up the special without spoiling anything, and the actress revealed that the relationship between Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor and David Bradley's incarnation of the First is something to look out for.
"There's two Doctors – well three Doctors in it, technically, isn't there?" she began. "You've got Peter as the Twelfth Doctor who is struggling with not wanting to regenerate and he meets the First Doctor, played by David Bradley, who is absolutely amazing.
"The dynamic they have between the two of them is so funny [...] It's amazing. Their dynamic together is absolutely hilarious."
Yes! And it makes sense too, considering Steven Moffat promised that Jodie Whittaker's debut as the Doctor is "funny from the off", so at least the Doctor cracking quips won't feel at odds with the heavy-going episode leading up to it.
Having said that, Mackie did also reiterate that it will be very emotional too as fans say goodbye to Capaldi, Mackie's character Bill Potts and showrunner Moffat in one fell swoop.
So why should we watch then, Mackie?
"It's a lovely episode [...] and it's Christmassy," she said. "And there's snow, and there's two TARDISes, and I'm in it! It's very exciting."
Alright then, sold.
Doctor Who: Twice Upon a Time airs on BBC One on Christmas Day at 5.30pm, while Sunday Brunch continues on Sundays on Channel 4.
