MAFS' Ella Morgan in tears at reunion as JJ Slater moves on with Katie Price

Married At First Sight UK: The Reunion was an emotional ordeal for one bride as she faced walking in alone - while her absent ex has struck up a new romance with Katie Price.

Ella Morgan had an eventful time during the 2023 series of the E4 dating show - the series' first ever trans contestant was originally matched with Nathanial Valentino, but had an affair with JJ Slater and eventually re-entered the show as a couple with him.

However, since the show they have split and Morgan is said to have been shocked to hear that Slater is now in a relationship with glamour model Price, sharing her upset at being alone in the reunion episode.

Getting teary at the reunion which aired on Monday night, Morgan said: "There are still feels there for me, (the split) has just been hard to swallow.

"If I had my way I would be walking back (into the reunion) with him."

A reunion of the MAFS UK 2023 cast was always going to be a tumultuous affair, following the series' affairs, rows and dramatic exits.

But bride Ella Morgan, who made history as the show's first ever trans contestant, was the cast member to end up in tears as she made the surprise confession that she still has feelings for her ex, JJ Slater.

Morgan had originally been matched with Nathanial Valentino, but came back into the show as a new couple with affair partner Slater who she also split from after the series ended.

Now, Slater has moved on to a new relationship with Katie Price - apparently shocking Morgan, who has said that Price reached out to her to become friends after her starring role in MAFS.

Meanwhile, Slater and Price recently went Instagram official as the star posted a selfie with her new boyfriend and captioned it: "They say things happen for a reason, the unexpected happened. Fate. Ticks every box. @johnjoeslater you have proved to me you are a real gentleman and completely except me for me."

Slater commented on the post: "Fate… thank you so much for being you."

Morgan's MAFS co-star Tasha Jay recently told Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan on FUBAR Radio: "Katie reached out to Ella before Katie had met JJ. Katie was so lovely to Ella and so supportive and giving her so many compliments, just being a genuine person.

"Then next thing you know she’s got her sloppy seconds. She’s not heartbroken and crying into a tub of Ben and Jerry’s but it was a bit of a kick in the teeth at first. It’s early days and they’re talking about babies and stuff now apparently so I’m just a bit confused."

What else happened on Married At First Sight UK: The Reunion?

Jay isn't the only one claiming to be confused - some MAFS viewers were baffled by scenes from the reunion which appeared to show Peggy Lawrence and Georges Berthonneau together as a couple, despite their very public split.

One reunion viewer commented on X: "Wait…… Peggy and George’s still together???," as someone else added: "PEGGY AN GEORGES ARE STILL TOGETHER???"

But the simple explanation was that the reunion was pre-recorded in November and the couple apparently split at the end of December - with Lawrence announcing they were no longer together on Valentine's Day.

She posted on Instagram: "I’m so sorry I’ve been quiet on socials everybody but there’s a reason for my silence. Me and Georges are no longer together and I’m absolutely heartbroken.

"It’s affected my mental health and it’s taken me weeks to come to terms with it. But with it being Valentine’s Day, I can’t pretend to be okay. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey… nobody is more upset about it than me."

Lawrence has since claimed that Berthonneau cheated on her with his ex, but he has denied the allegations of cheating.
