There was magic in the air on Take Me Out tonight

It's no secret that we are absolutely loving having Take Me Out back on our TV screens on Saturday nights – where else can you get cringe chat up lines and awkward excuses for dodging potential dates?

Tonight (April 22) was no exception, and Paddy McGuinness kicked off proceedings with a rather (ahem) cringe Harry Potter impression, for some reason, though the magic paid off for first lad Ricardo.

Our night's first dater, who eats a lot – how else did he get that enviable figure? – struck it lucky after bagging himself a date, though many viewers were more interested in his… derriere.

Next dater Charlie, from York, is a man of many names, working in a chocolate factory under the name Ben, and is also known as the Chaz Man:

Though things took a turn for the awkward when one of the ladies didn't know where York was:

While next dater Harry looked the part for a date, his talent for waking up in a dog bed after a night out was anything but smooth:

He later double-crossed poor Cara-Jane, leading her to think that she was going to Fernandos, even though she was his love at first light. It's safe to say people were not impressed:

Though his cringe chat up line about what supermarket the girls would be got a lot of love:

In the end, it was another Harry that was on peoples' lips this evening, with poor Philippa just wanting to show off her love of the boy wizard:

It's alright, Philippa, we hear you.
