Man, 22, arrested after 'disturbance' inside house

Police swarmed a road after a "disturbance" inside a house.

Merseyside Police received a call at around 9.15pm on Thursday, June 13 that there had been a "disturbance" inside a property in Whiston. Officers were sent to the scene, but en-route they arrested a man on Dragon Lane in Prescot.

One eyewitness said they saw around seven police cars "near to the shop" on Dragon Lane following the incident. A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, affray, criminal damage, using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour and sending an offensive/indecent/obscene message.
