A man has been arrested after a “large zombie knife” was discovered in Oxfordshire.

The incident occurred on Wednesday as Thames Valley Police neighbourhood officers were conducting routine checks in Thame.

Officers came across a van and trailer which was illegally parked on the crossing on High Street before searching the van.

They then found a large zombie knife within and subsequently arrested and charged the man.

A zombie knife is a bladed weapon which is inspired by zombie films and can often have serrated edges.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “A routine check by #Thame neighbourhood officers, on a van & trailer illegally parked on the pedestrian crossing in the High Street, Thame.

“Ended with a man being arrested & subsequently charged after a large zombie knife was seized from the van.”
