Yahoo News Man who beat four people and possessed a weapon in street fight is jailed
A 40-year-old man has been jailed following a spate of crimes which includes assault.
James Simcock, of Nappin Close, Aylesbury was sentenced to a total of seven years and two months in prison for the offences, which took place on December 29, 2023.
The court heard how Simcock became involved in an argument with several people along his street which resulted in him assaulting four victims.
Those impacted were a 51-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, who sustained cuts, bruising and swelling to the head, face, chest and neck.
A 29-year-old woman was also hit in the head and lost consciousness, whilst a 30-year-old man was also attacked.
Simcock assaulted the 26-year-old man by hitting him with a bottle.

He then punched the 29-year-old woman several times in the head, as well as hitting the 51-year-old woman in the stomach.
Because of the serious nature of the assaults, and also reports that Simcock could own a firearm, armed officers attended and arrested him.
They searched his premises and found items including a firearm and cannabis.
Simcock was charged on December 30.
Nearly six months later on June 28, Simcock was convicted of the following offences:
One count of affray
One count of assault ABH
Two counts of assault by beating
One count of possession of a prohibited firearm
One count of possession of a Class B drug – cannabis.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Ollie Powell, based at Aylesbury police station said: “This was a very violent incident, which must have been terrifying for the victims.
“I am pleased that Simcock will now be spending a significant time in prison for his actions that day.
“I would like to thank the victims of his assault and the witnesses who came forward for their help and bravery.
“Hopefully, now that Simcock has been convicted and imprisoned, they will be able to move on from this and start to rebuild their lives.”
