Manchester City have opened up a store at the iconic Rockefeller Center in New York after seeing their popularity surge in the United States this season.

With a few days included in the Big Apple this summer as part of their US tour that will include a friendly against AC Milan at Yankee Stadium, the store will be open from June 1 to September 22 offering 'kit collections, a jersey personalisation section and exclusive merchandise'. The Premier League trophy will also be on display this Saturday and Sunday (June 1 and 2) for any fans wanting to get a picture with it.

City are looking to capitalise on their increasing popularity in the US. The club have had a presence through New York City FC, but their Premier League and Champions League success together with the superstar signing of Erling Haaland and manager Pep Guardiola appearing in TV smash hit Ted Lasso has seen interest in them soar in recent years. This season's home stalemate with Arsenal broke records for the most-watched Premier League game ever in the country, and that kind of engagement has translated into a 48 per cent rise in online sales from the region.

“We are very excited to announce the launch of our brand new store in the heart of New York City, marking another huge milestone for our global retail offering," said Serena Gosling, director of Integrated Fan Experience and Retail & Licensing at Manchester City. “The US market continues to provide exciting opportunities for Manchester City to grow and we’ve experienced an increase in engagement and support from the region over the past few years across a number of areas, including a 48 per cent uplift in sales from our online CityStore this season.

“Ahead of our summer tour, this store offers a further touchpoint for our fans within the US to engage with the club and we’d like to thank our retail partner Stichd and its staff for their support.”
