Man City vs Watford prediction: How will FA Cup final play out?

Man City face Watford on Saturday in the FA Cup Final at Wembley. The 138th edition sees Man City aiming to become the first club to win the domestic treble in England, after sealing the Premier League title against Brighton last Sunday.

Pep Guardiola is after his first FA Cup trophy with City last winning under Roberto Mancini in 2011 when Yaya Touré’s goal helped them to a 1-0 win over Stoke.

Watford’s last and only appearance in the FA Cup Final came in 1984 under manager Graham Taylor when they lost 2-0 to Everton.

It’s a big occasion for Sir Elton John too as the Hornets fan has cancelled a concert in Copenhagen to be at the game with his two young sons leading Watford out.

So how will this one play out?

Prediction… Man City 3-1 Watford

It’s hard to see past Man City completing the treble, they’ve only lost one game since January and will be up for this after their Champions League failure.

Watford, on the other hand, have conceded nine goals in their last three games and had to come from behind to beat Wolves in the semis – it won’t be so easy this time around.

What time does it start?

Man City vs Watford kicks off at 5pm on Saturday 18 May.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be live on BBC One and BT Sport 2.
