One witness said they unexpectedly saw three police cars and a South Western Ambulance Service ambulance pull up outside of a bungalow in Stanborough Road in Plymstock, Plymouth, on April 30.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they were alerted to an incident at that location and that a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The spokesperson said: ""Police were notified at around 8am to reports of a deceased man at an address on Stanborough Road. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

An inquest will be opened into the death in due course, with the hearing taking place at Exeter's County Hall.
