A man has been found dead at the Tunbridge Wells site of an adult festival called FlameFest.

A spokesman for Kent Police is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Kent Police is making enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding an unexplained death in Tunbridge Wells.

"Officers were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 6.14am on Tuesday August 22 to a medical incident at a campsite in Powder Mill Lane, Tunbridge Wells.

"Patrols and ambulance crews went to the scene where a man was pronounced dead.

"In addition, an unconscious woman received medical treatment and was taken to a local hospital by air ambulance."

The Facebook page for last year's event (at the time of writing, the page for this year's event is inaccessible) describes FlameFest as "the festival for kinky, creative and conscious party-goers".

As well as DJs and outdoor workshops, the festival contained an area dedicated to fetish gear.

Security for this year's festival has had to be beefed up due to the increased press coverage of the event, with the police also said to be involved in monitoring things.

This year's Glastonbury Festival increased its security in the wake of recent terror attacks, and asked festival-goers to pack lightly due to increased bag searches.

It's also been announced that festivals could start testing the drugs people bring onto sites, to reduce the risk of drug-related deaths.
