A 24-year-old man has been killed a “brutal and frenzied” attack in south London.

Metropolitan Police detectives investigating the murder of Tyler Roye are appealing to the public for information on the attack.

Officers were called to Stroud Green Way, Croydon, by the London Ambulance Service at 12.15am on Wednesday, where they found Roye suffering from stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, but died of his injuries upon arrival at 2.46am.

A murder investigation has been launched and no arrests have been made so far.

His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination with be carried out at Croydon University Hospital mortuary.

Detective Chief Inspector John Massey, who is leading the investigation, said: “I want to hear from anyone who saw, heard or recorded anything in Stroud Green Way area before, during or after the murder.

“This was a brutal and frenzied attack that has ended a young man’s life. If you saw anything but have not yet come forward, please do get in touch.”

Anyone with witnesses or footage of the area is asked to call police on 101 and quote Cad 71/26Feb.
