Man was punched and kicked in the head while walking home and his clothes and shoes stolen

A thug attacked a man while he was walking home and ran off with his clothes. Trefor Glyn Evans punched and kicked his victim in the head, before taking his phone, coat, hat and trainers.

Evans appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday, June 25. The court heard the attack happened on January 29, when the defendant attacked the man in the Afon Goch area of Caernarfon.

Evans, 36, threatened the man and demanded money from him before punching and kicking him then making off with his belongings. The man ran to a police station where he reported the incident.

Evans admitted robbery and was jailed for four years and three months. He also made subject of a restraining order which states he must not contact the victim for a period of 10 years.

District Support Sergeant Andy Davies said: "Everyone should be able to feel safe when out in their own community without the fear of being attacked. I hope Evan's sentence reassures the local community that acts of violence will not be tolerated and we will pursue those that seek to inflict harm."
