Man running around Dunham Massey in nothing but walking boots is arrested

A man has been arrested after he was spotted 'running around' a popular beauty spot near Liverpool, donning nothing but his walking boots.

Police have arrested a man who was seen 'running around' Dunham Massey wearing nothing but his walking boots. Officers say they have received a 'number of complaints' about the notorious streaker, who has been spotted in the act previously.

It's believed the same man has also been spotted running fully nude across areas in Cheshire, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire since 2020, reports CheshireLive.

Greater Manchester Police have arrested the man on suspicion of indecent exposure. In a post on X, a spokesman said: "Male arrested for indecent exposure after being seen running around Dunham Massey naked apart from a pair of walking boots!!

"We have had a number of complaints of this guy doing this previously causing alarm, and so action has been taken."

Cheshire Police had previously appealed for information about reports of a man running around rural areas ‘with his crown jewels on show’ or obscured by a ‘teeny tiny bum-bag’. Officers clarified that their appeal for a description of the ‘naked man running in the hills on the borders of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire’ related to his face, rather than any other body parts.

Dunham Massey is a stunning National Trust beauty spot near Liverpool that attracts more than half a million visitors each year. It has a 300-acre deer park, a historic house and buildings and all-season gardens - and also a naked man wearing walking boots!
