Man suffers serious head injuries in terrifying Penzance assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Penzance that has left a man hospitalised with serious head injuries.

The assault took place in the early hours of this morning (Sunday), in Market Place, Penzance, with police officers called to the scene by the ambulance service at 3.40am.

The victim is a local man in his 20s. A police cordon remains in place at the scene while officers carry out enquiries.

Devon and Cornwall Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have any information that could help with their enquiries, to get in touch, either via the police website, or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 50240147072.
