Federico Chiesa's potential move to Liverpool could depend on whether Juventus sign Mason Greenwood, it is claimed.

Recent reports have claimed that Greenwood has agreed to join Juventus after his loan spell at Getafe in 2023/24. However, it is said that the Serie A giants cannot afford the United forward with the club rumoured to want between £35million and £40m.

And It is claimed by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio that Juve will need to sell Chiesa to make a deal for Greenwood possible. The Reds have been linked with the Italy international for some time and could now be offered the perfect opportunity to complete a deal.

"Mason Greenwood has given priority to Juventus after new contacts took place," Di Marzio claimed on his website.

"Manchester United value him at €50m - Juventus expect to complete the deal in the coming weeks for €30m plus add ons. Juve must first sell Chiesa or [Matias] Soule."

Chiesa ended the 2023/24 campaign with 10 goals and three assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. His performances helped Juventus secure a top-four finish and a Coppa Italia title.

Speaking back in May about his future, Chiesa said: “The Coppa Italia and reaching the Champions League were the targets. I’ve spoken about the renewal with the director and we’ll talk about it at the end of the season.

“We’ll sit down calmly, discuss our projects, and continue talking. I want to stay at this big club and bring Juventus back where it belongs,” said the Italian striker.

“We’ve won the Coppa Italia, and I am happy for the fans after difficult months in which the Serie A title slipped away from our hands. We’ll try to get revenge.”
