Manchester Airport has issued a "fifteen minute" update to all passengers with flights booked.

Thousands of people pass through the international airport's three terminals each day, with direct flights in operation to some 181 destinations across 54 countries. Many travellers will shop, eat and drink after dropping their bags to kill some time before their plane begins to board.

That said, some people also find themselves with little time to spare and may not think they have enough time to enjoy a meal.

However airport bosses have today issued an update about the many restaurants on offer at Manchester. A post on X, formerly Twitter, from the airport's official account reads: "Want to grab a pre-flight bite to eat, but are nervous your meal will take too long to be served?

"Check to see if the restaurant has an express menu. Many airport restaurants have a menu which they will guarantee a fifteen minute maximum preparation time."

Passengers can also check the airport's website on the day they are due to fly for estimated security wait times for all terminals (1, 2 and 3).
