Yahoo News Manchester buffet nominated at top awards celebrating best Asian cuisine in the UK
A restaurant group with a buffet in Manchester has been nominated at an awards ceremony - co-founded by Gok Wan - which celebrates the best of East and South East Asian cuisine.
Multi-cuisine restaurant COSMO Authentic World Kitchen is in the running for five awards at the Golden Chopsticks Awards, including a nomination for the Best Restaurant in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
With an all-you-can-eat buffet in Deansgate, COSMO serves up 'hundreds of unique dishes' each day including Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Teppanyaki food as well as pasta dishes, roast dinners, pizzas, burgers and even shepherd's pie.
As well as its three local nominations for Best Restaurant, the group has been shortlisted for Best Multi-Site and Best Sweet Treat for its selection of desserts, including pastries, cakes and fresh fruit. The restaurant also has a designated gelato counter as well as a continuous chocolate fountain.
The Golden Chopsticks Awards - co-founded by Gok Wan, Lucy Mitchell and Sarah Lewis - will take place in London on Monday (April 29). At the awards ceremony, COSMO was previously named Best Multi-Site in 2022 and Best Restaurant Chain in 2021.

The nominees are decided following a public vote before a panel of esteemed judges, including chefs Ken Hom, Simon Rimmer and Ping Coombes, determine the winners for each award.
