Champions Manchester City return to Premier League action on Saturday against Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

City sit joint top of the table on 20 points alongside Liverpool and Chelsea after their draw at Anfield prior to the international break.

The Clarets meanwhile have taken seven points from a possible nine in their last three matches after their shaky start to the season.

Team news

Kevin De Bruyne is in line to make just his second appearance of the season after recovering from a knee ligament injury.

Fabian Delph is unlikely to return however with Ilkay Gundogan another midfield doubt after missing the goalless draw with Liverpool. Danilo is out with an ankle injury.

James Tarkowski was forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a groin injury with the Burnley defender to be assessed over the coming days. Ben Gibson is still out.

Robbie Brady is closing in on his return from a long-term knee injury but Saturday is likely to come too soon with the Republic of Ireland international in need of match fitness. Stephen Ward is out with a knee injury.
