Two sculptures seen by millions of people since they were unveiled near to Marble Arch are available to buy - if you have a few hundred thousand pounds spare.

Lebanese-born, London-based artist Bushra Fakhoury’s Dunamis (Greek for miraculous power) depicts a circus performer balancing an elephant on one hand and was installed on Park Lane in 2013 as part of Westminster council’s City of Sculpture programme.

Another one of the artist’s works Danse Gwenedour, depicting a group of gravity-defying folk dancers, was placed nearby in March this year. Both works are going under the hammer next month. Danse Gwenedour has a guide price of £360,000 and Dunamis is estimated to fetch around £260,000.

Auctioneers Farnon & Lake said they would be part of a sale of more than 160 sculptures by more than 21 artists at Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire on October 5.

Duncan Lang, principal auctioneer, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire two truly monumental works of art. We’ve had a lot of interest in both of them, and because of the scale we imagine the lucky bidder will have the space to accommodate them.”
