'The Masked Singer' fans all think they know who Firework is - but Olly Alexander can't believe Davina McCall's guess

The Masked Singer fans are all sure they know who Firework is - but Davina McCall's out there guess had guest judge Olly Alexander in hysterics.

ITV's surreal singing contest features a mystery performer dressed as a firework who has offered clues about their identity including being involved in drama and various phrases including the word "street".

Many of the show's fans have guessed that Firework could be former Coronation Street actor Michelle Keegan - particularly after another clue involving the name McIntyre, the surname of her soap alter ego Tina McIntyre.

However, regular panellist McCall went in a completely different direction thanks to another clue involving the name Prim, a character from The Hunger Games.

As she began to suggest Firework could be Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence, Olly Alexander who is serving as this week's guest judge looked at her in disbelief and began laughing.

But McCall insisted: "You may laugh, but Ne-Yo was on the show last year, so I'm just going to say it - I think it's Jennifer Lawrence."

There weren't many viewers in agreement, as one person tweeted: "If Firework is Jennifer Lawrence I'll eat my actual hat."

Many of the guesses focussed on Keegan as one viewer tweeted: "Firework = Michelle Keegan. She was Tina “McIntyre” in Corrie."

Someone else agreed: "Firework is definitely Michelle Keegan."

Another viewer commented: "Firework is Michelle Keegan! And yes, she has done period drama!"

And someone else added: "I’m so convinced that Firework is Michelle Keegan that if it’s not I’ll be proper annoyed."

Years & Years singer and It's A Sin actor Alexander has joined McCall, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross on the panel for one week and offered Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan as his guess for Firework.

Last week saw Poodle unmasked as Keane singer Tom Chaplin, coming as a shock to the panel members.
