Lady Colin Campbell claims Me Too Movement has 'prevented men from being men'
Lady Colin Campbell believes the Me Too Movement has “prevented men from being men.”
Appearing on Loose Women ahead of her appearance on the E4 dating show, Celebs Go Dating, Campbell shared her views on the movement that has been supported by a host of celebrities and Hollywood A-listers in the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein furore.
Speaking to the panel which included Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha, Campbell said: “I think that the Me Too movement, which in some ways has been very good, in some ways as with everything else has been very damaging.”

“Really it has immobilised men and really it has prevented men from being men,” she added.
Langsford interjected by reminding Campbell that men need to be aware of when a woman says stop.
Responding, Campbell said: “That’s the point, sometimes they [women] don’t mean stop, they are undecided.
“I think when politics interferes with personal – I’m not now talking about abusing women – with sexual banter or the chase, there is an element of biology that should be allowed to kick in.”
Campbell’s comments about the Me Too Movement sparked anger with some viewers.

“I’m sorry did lady C on #LooseWomen really just say that the #metoo movement “prevents men from being men” ??? Yes those poor men that got exposed for being sexually abusive and exploitive. Whenever justice steps forward, count on middle-aged women to take it three steps back,” declared one annoyed viewer.
