Meghan Markle has shared the sweetest conversation she had with her two-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.

It came after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Lightway Academy in Nigeria's capital, Abuja on Friday, as part of their flying tour of the country.

While attending the school's mental health summit, the Duke told the kids there's "no shame" in discussing mental health. Meghan echoed this sentiment, stating: "We all have our story. And there's no shame in any single one of your stories. Even on the hardest days or darkest days, everything is a pillar of your strength by each of you being there."

"Your teachers see that in you. And we see that in you," the mum-of-two continued, before taking the opportunity to share the heartwarming discussion she had with her daughter.

"Interestingly, so is our daughter, Lili. She's much, much tinier than you guys, she's about to turn 3," Meghan explained, revealing that a few weeks ago the toddler looked at her and noticed her own reflection in her mother's eyes.

"And she [said], 'Mama, I see me in you,'" Meghan recalled, noting how Lili was speaking "literally."

However, the 42-year-old gushed that she "hung on to those words in a very different way."

She concluded: "I thought, 'Yes, I do see me and you, and you see me and you.' But as I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well."

During the school mental health visit, Meghan also instilled the importance of looking out for people. She said: "Every single person in this room, the youngest, the oldest, every single person has mental health. So therefore, you have to look after yourself to be able to look after other people."
