Mel B claims she was drugged throughout Stephen Belafonte marriage

Mel B has claimed she was drugged by estranged husband Stephen Belafonte “throughout the course” of their 10-year marriage.

The former Spice Girls singer is embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with her 42-year-old ex – who she has previously claimed was physically abusive towards her and had an affair with their nanny – and the latest allegation was revealed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday.

One of Belafonte’s lawyers, Philip Cohen, said: “Miss Brown now takes the position she was drugged by Mr Belafonte throughout the course of the marriage.”

The lawyer also said Mel made the allegation she was drugged throughout “much to most” of her and Stephen’s relationship during a recent deposition.

Stephen has claimed that 42-year-old Mel – who has six-year-old daughter Madison with her estranged husband – led an “extravagant” lifestyle and had “wiped out” a $50 million

fortune she got during her time as a Spice Girl.
