The father of Michael Jackson is reportedly close to death and his own family aren’t even allowed to see him.

Joe Jackson, 89, the dad of the world famous Jackson family, is, according to Jermaine, 63, not accepting visitors and therefore cannot see their sick father who is suffering from an undisclosed and terminal illness.

According to an interview the former member of The Jackson Five did with the Daily Mail, those around the ill father-of-eleven won’t allow him or his wife of almost 70 years, Katherine, 88, to be at his beside.

‘No one knew what was going on – we shouldn’t have to beg, plead, and argue to see our own father, especially at a time like this,’ he revealed.

‘We have been hurting.

‘We were not being told where he was and couldn’t get the full picture – even from the doctor. My mother was worried sick.’

Describing his physical state, son Jermaine implied he was close to the end: ‘He’s very, very frail, he doesn’t have long. The family needs to be by his bedside – that’s our only intention in his final days.

‘It’s what any family would want, but some people around him think they know better – and they don’t.’

Apparently, his children have all been involved in heated discussion over visitation rights, causing friction between his sons and daughters for several days,.

After pleading with his father’s management, Charles Coupet, some family members – daughters Robbie and Joh’Vonnie, along with is granddaughter Yashi Brown – were able to see him earlier this week.

But it seems that Joe himself is the one giving these restrictive instructions to prevent family members from seeing him and his medical records, meaning his immediate family are unaware what state his health is in.

Joe Jackson orchestrated the rise and world domination of The Jackson 5, including the introduction of the late Michael Jackson, during the 1970s. Forming in 1964, the band consisted of Michael, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, and Jackie, with Randy joining when Jermaine left in 1975.
