Liverpool will be paying close attention to the events of Euro 2024 and Copa America as Arne Slot's squad, and potential future additions, battle it out for international glory.

A number of players in years gone by have earned big-money moves on the back of a successful summer tournament, which could again prove to be the case this time around.

Liverpool are yet to make any signings during the transfer window, which opened late last week, though few Premier League clubs have moved to complete business at this early stage.

As transfer rumours continue to circulate, we have rounded up some of the latest news regarding the Reds.

Crystal Palace name Olise price

Crystal Palace will only listen to offers upwards of £60million for Michael Olise, it has been suggested.

Liverpool are claimed to be one of the Premier League sides eyeing a deal for the French winger, who is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

Making their stance clear on the matter, Palace have reportedly placed a valuation of £60m plus on Olise and will not negotiate below this mark.

That is according to BBC Sport, who add the Eagles are under no pressure to sell Olise or Eberechi Eze due to being in a healthy financial position.

The Liverpool ECHO says: This could prove to be a hard deal to get over the line, particularly as Liverpool are not the only top-flight club said to be keen on a transfer. Making such a move could depend on what happens with Luis Diaz this summer. The Colombian operates in the same position as Olise and the figure raised from his possible departure would likely go towards landing a player of this ilk.

Slot shares transfer talks

Arne Slot conducted his first official interview as Liverpool head coach on Wednesday evening, admitting recruitment has been a big focus of his in recent weeks.

The Reds are yet to make their first signing of the summer, though things could quickly change on that front once Euro 2024 and the Copa America are over.

Asked if recruitment has been a main topic of his conversations with new Liverpool sporting director, Slot told liverpoolfc.com: "Yeah, and it's also been part of spending my time in the last few weeks. If you bring in Fabian, who I didn't know before, you have conversations, meetings with him – together with Richard – to bring the best possible person in we could find, and I think in the situation of Fabian we managed to do that.

"He's regarded as one of the most interesting goalkeeper coaches there is at the moment and in the meetings we had I felt this as well. [There are] still one or two positions to fill in and we are talking about this and having meetings about this as well."

The Liverpool ECHO says: It will be interesting to see who the Reds' recruitment team go after in the transfer market, with plenty of options likely to have already been internally discussed. Slot may have set his sights on bringing players from his former club, Feyenoord, an approach many managers have followed when taking on a new job, though the Dutchman will not be able to have a big of a say on transfers in the same way Jurgen Klopp was allowed due to the new structure in place at the club.
