Bayern Munich-bound Michael Olise reportedly did not receive a bid from Liverpool despite rumours linking the Crystal Palace winger to Anfield this summer.

Olise, 22, is someone the club are seemingly a fan of, but that interest did not materialise into involving themselves in the bidding. But the France youth international had former clubs Chelsea and Manchester City apparently offering to correct their mistakes by letting him leave their academies.

Manchester United and Newcastle United are two other clubs said to have fallen short of Palace's £60 million valuation. But despite significant Premier League interest, Bayern have beaten their English rivals to the London-born winger.

Our colleagues at the Mirror report that, unlike Liverpool, both Manchester clubs made late moves for Olise. They reportedly hoped to tempt Palace with a deal to keep the player at Selhurst Park next summer, rather than this.

Neither club could seemingly do a deal during this transfer window because of concerns surrounding the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules. Liverpool has no such worries this summer ahead of returning to the Champions League again next season but has still stayed away from Olise.

The club are the subject of rumours linking them with a host of wingers this summer, including West Ham United's Mohammed Kudus. Crysencio Summerville was also linked last month after Leeds United lost the Championship play-off final. Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo is another from fellow Premier League clubs, and there are plenty more from across Europe.

The biggest would be a blockbuster move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo. There are fresh links to Barcelona's Raphinha a year after he left Leeds amid reported interest from Liverpool. However, less-heralded options like Midtjylland's Dario Osorio or Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven, whom Arne Slot has seen up close and personal, could be more realistic moves the club may make.
