Monty the puppy may only have two legs, but he hasn't let his double amputation hold him back in life.

The three-year-old beagle-cavalier has been accident-prone from the beginning of his life - leaving him with terrible injuries.

Owner Amy Evans, from Melbourne, said: "We put him down one day and he fractured his front leg from the toe all the way to the shoulder.''

Sadly the poor pup had to have his leg amputated. This wasn't the end of his bad luck.

Monty was then found dragging his hind leg and Amy suspected he had been hit by a car. She opted to amputate again.

But brave Monty is back to his usual self after his horrific run of injuries.

Amy added: "Hours after the surgery, he ran out to see me. I just started crying, I was so happy to see him."
