Celebrity Big Brother is everybody's guilty pleasure. From the terrifying (and sometimes violent) rows to the most bizarre drama we've ever seen ("David is dead?"), it has us glued day in day out. And there's nothing we love more about our favourite reality show than a good old-fashioned love story.

But unfortunately, despite the number of housemates that have said "I love you" and jumped into bed together over the years, we're starting to feel a little conned. Has anyone else noticed how almost every couple that gets together inside the house breaks up pretty much as soon as they leave? Or after they've bagged a lucrative magazine deal?

Here, we take a look back at some of the most ridiculous showmances in the Celebrity Big Brother back catalogue.

1. Stephen Bear and Chloe Khan

Bear was apparently so infatuated with Chloe that he dumped his girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg live on the show to be with her. He then promised to whisk his new love off to Dubai for a romantic getaway when he left the house. Of course that didn't happen. After the pair posed together for LOTS of pictures at the series finale, they cut ties.

2. Bianca Gascoigne and Jamie O'Hara

Bianca and Jamie claimed to be in love on the show, which is pretty weird considering the two parted ways just days after the series finished. According to Jamie (the ex-hubby of Danielle Lloyd), he had "loads going on" so couldn't commit to a relationship – an excuse that probably would have been more believable if he hadn't announced model Elizabeth-Jayne Tierney as his girlfriend a few weeks later.

3. Scotty T and Megan McKenna

Scotty couldn't keep his hands off of Megan when the cameras were rolling. But as soon as they stopped, so did their chemistry. After winning the series, the Geordie Shore star insisted he was "too busy" to have a relationship. A few months later, he called her a "c**t". Weird.

4. Kerry Katona and Lucien Laviscount

This was probably the most unexpected showmance of all time. But Kerry and Lucien loved flirting with each other in the house and even shared a kiss. When the series ended, they posed together for a couple's shoot on the front cover of a glossy magazine. When fans lost interest though, so did they, and the pair haven't really been spotted together since.

5. Lauren Goodger and Ricci Guarnaccio

These two seemed to genuinely like each other. During their time in the house, they couldn't stop flirting and kissing one another. When the show ended, they were spotted holding hands on a night out and put on a very loved-up display for the paparazzi (we wonder who called them?). Then a couple of weeks later, they called it a day and earned a pretty penny from telling magazines the reasons behind their split.

6. Sam Faiers and Ollie Lock

Ollie insisted he was in love with Sam during their time on CBB. At one point, he even joked about the two getting married one day. The relationship of course didn't go anywhere and Ollie later admitted that he is actually gay.

7. Luisa Zissman and Dappy

No speculation necessary here because Luisa has admitted she and Dappy completely faked their romance. When the cameras were rolling, they kissed, showered naked together and did a few more things that we're not going to publish – but it was all for publicity. In her Daily Star column, Luisa confessed: "We did an interview with OK! magazine which kept you all guessing, perhaps alluding to the fact we were sharing more than just fluttered eyelashes, but never quite confirming it. I suppose there were several reasons why we kept everyone unsure. The fact we got paid for an interview and shoot was only a minor factor." At least she's honest.

8. Lee Ryan and Jasmine Waltz

Lee broke Casey Batchelor's heart to be with Jasmine. Surely he would only put her through such torment if he was super serious about Jasmine? Erm... Apparently not. A few weeks after the show ended, the pair called it a day and cashed in on their break-up exclusives.

9. Georgia Salpa and Kirk Norcross

These two had fans glued to the TV when they appeared on CBB. After a few days of constant flirting, the pair kissed and we were all hoping it was the real deal. But surprise surprise, that wasn't the case. They were spotted together at his father's nightclub Sugar Hut after the show ended. But Kirk's BFF Joey Essex joined them for the date, which was kind of strange. After that, the relationship fizzled out.
