Mother and daughter 'so proud' to launch day nursery in market town

A mother and daughter have teamed up to launch a children's nursery in Diss.

Diane Pilsbury-Gaunt has more than 25 years of experience working with children in outstanding-rated nurseries and was most recently a neonatal nurse supporting families in and out of hospital.

She decided to open Rainbows after spotting a gap in the local market for all-round childcare for different age groups and her daughter Emily jumped at the chance to invest.

Rainbows will offer 100 spaces to children aged six weeks to five years old from September.

The nursery will contain three separate classrooms to ensure everyone's needs are met and nutritious meals and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Outdoor gardens can be found on-site to extend the children's learning beyond the nursery walls and Diane hopes to create an environment where everyone feels valued, included and respected.

Diane said: "We are so proud to be able to offer this much needed facility to the community.

"We’ve had an overwhelming amount of interest demonstrating the indisputable need.

"Once complete, the refurbishment will provide a first-class learning environment where the children can grow and develop with the support of our excellent nursery team.

"Our nursery team have been carefully selected to feel part of an extended family with the children’s happiness at the forefront.

“Our investment is significant but I believe the value of quality childcare is especially important and we’re committed to ensuring we can deliver that in our nursery.”

Rainbows Day Nursery is located on Diss Business Park in Hopper Way.

It will open on weekdays all year round from 8am until 6pm.
