Two mums who run a bar in Crosby are set to appear on a new Channel 4 show called Double the Money.

Cath Doyle, 40, and Lynn Nolan, 48, first met six years ago when taking their sons to the same football game. They then not only became close friends but co-workers when they decided to quit their jobs to open a bar together on Liverpool Road, Crosby.

Lynn was formerly a carer and Cath had a career as a workplace trainer but in 2021 they took the leap into bar ownership - opening The Queens Nook. Speaking to the ECHO, they said: "It’s been a hard few years opening up just after a pandemic but we have put our hearts and souls into this as we are determined, hardworking Liverpool girls who want to provide a great spot for people to enjoy good food and an amazing friendly atmosphere."

As the clock starts, Cath and Lynn try to double their money by selling picnic boxes for £15 each. If they win the competition, they are hoping to put the money into their business and have dreams of expanding to a chain of bars.
