Myleene Klass’s ‘Ripples and Mini Cheddars’ diet bemuses BBQ Champ co-host

She became the envy of female viewers everywhere with THAT bikini waterfall shower in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, so it’s unsurprising that Myleene Klass’s rather unusual eating habits have confounded her BBQ Champ co-star Adam Richman.

“She’s so much fun to work with, but the one thing that drove me crazy about her was that girl started her day with a Ripple, two packs of Mini Cheddars, then she’d blast through a Marks & Spencer trifle with a spoon the size of Pat Jennings’ hand,” joked Adam.

“She’d blast through this thing then she’d do a bikini ad and look skinnier.“

Adam, best known for presenting cult U.S. culinary challenge show Man Vs Food, said he’d piled on a few pounds while filming the ITV programme, which sees a group of eight amateur chefs fire up the grill each week to compete for a £25,000 prize.

Although Myleene has claimed the show was ‘amazing for my soul and terrible for my waistline,’ she has so far seemed to stay as slim as ever, despite each week’s calorie-packed offerings.

“[Judge and restauranteur] Mark [Blatchford] you get why he’s part of the show, hopefully you dig why I’m part of the show. [But] people are like, ‘Look at her, she’s this svelte woman’,” mused Adam when describing Myleene’s contribution to the competition.

”[But] you instantly got that she’s a mum and that’s something I don’t think a lot of people realise. They see this feisty, white bikini under a waterfall.“

And Myleene showed her caring side during filming when one of the competitors was whacked in the face by a stray drum lid.

"A gust of wind blows the lid back on to one of our competitor’s noses in the middle of a competition, a team competition where time is of the essence,” Adam recalled. “She gets this lid smack back in her nose and now she’s doing this and she’s trying to calculate time. She was done for the challenge. She tried to acquit herself as best as possible. It was a hairy moment.

"Myleene was in like a shot,” he added. “Literally, the competitor goes, 'I don’t want to let the team down’, and she’s like, 'I am here – until we get paramedics and stuff, you are not alone’.”
