Yahoo News Naomi Campbell is the first ever global face of Pat McGrath Labs
When it comes to choosing the first ever global face for your make-up brand you can't get more iconic than Naomi Campbell, but then again Pat McGrath is no ordinary brand founder.
The renowned British make-up artist, affectionately known by fans as ‘Mother’, launched her cult-status cosmetic line in 2015 and she has known Campbell for over 25 years, since the two fashion and beauty trailblazers met on set in 1994.
The exciting announcement makes Campbell the first person to hold such a role for Pat McGrath Labs, the wait explained by McGrath dubbing her friend the ‘Ultimate McGrath Muse’.
“I am thrilled that my sister Naomi Campbell is our first official face at Pat McGrath Labs," revealed McGrath. “Naomi's beauty is without compare, but what truly makes her special, and the ultimate McGrath Muse, is her legendary loyalty, unparalleled work ethic and sublime soul. It is an understatement to say that I consider myself blessed to call her a friend. To be a part of her luminous legacy as a trailblazer in the worlds of beauty and fashion, is truly an honour.”
We might get to see the supermodel, who turned 50 earlier this month, in the make-up chair again very soon, as excitingly she will star in McGrath’s Masterchat Series on social media.
Before then though, she is lending her world-renowned features to multiple make-up campaigns for the brand, starting with the Divine Rose Collection that has just been released.

As we have come to expect from the make-up artist, this new range is filled with light-reflecting pigments for both the lips and eyes, with the collection's standout feature being a new Eye Palette in high impact pink tones.
Those rosy shades are directly referenced in the campaign too, in which Campbell is directed by McGrath herself. The film campaign opens with classic lines from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. “What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” A knowing nod perhaps to how instantly recognisable the supermodel is too.

Pat has created a line that brings fantasy and glamour back into our daily lives and makes us dream again!
