Yahoo News Neighbours' April Rose Pengilly backs new Pierce Greyson after surprise recast
Neighbours actress April Rose Pengilly promises that fans will "love" Tim Robards' replacement as Pierce Greyson.
Don Hany was unveiled as the new Pierce last month, after original actor Tim decided to leave his role four weeks early due to travel restrictions and the imminent arrival of his first child.
Sitting down with Inside Soap to discuss the surprise recasting, April couldn't speak any higher of her new colleague.

"The first day was very strange and surreal," she noted. "It all happened so quickly, and Don only had a couple of days to figure out the entire two-year history of Pierce!
"He'd had his hair cut like Pierce and was wearing Pierce's clothes, so everything was the same – except he was a different person!
"It was an adjustment, but within a day or two it felt like Don had been with us forever," continued the Chloe Brennan star.
"He's an amazing actor and we couldn't believe he was coming in to do the role. Obviously we all miss Tim, but I think the audience is going to love Don."

Meanwhile, the Neighbours newbie previously shared a few words of excitement: "I'm thrilled to have been invited to be part of a show that is part of Australian television history. I've never done the show before so it's all new, and I'm so happy to be here.
"It's a testament to the resilience of the show that it's still running at a time like this."
Neighbours airs on weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK), and at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
