Neighbours has aired its final episode of the year on UK screens today (December 23) – but Channel 5 bosses are softening the blow with a new trailer to promote the show's return.
Wednesday's visit to Ramsay Street is the last one for UK viewers until Monday, January 4 – although fans can look forward to plenty of Ramsay Street drama when the show makes its comeback.
Returning character Amy Greenwood, played by Jacinta Stapleton, takes centre stage in the new promo as she heads back to Erinsborough for the first time in 20 years.
Amy develops a surprising romantic spark with Shane Rebecchi, but will this make his estranged wife Dipi jealous?

The Rebecchi family will also be welcoming back their youngest daughter Kirsha.
Kirsha is keen to reunite her parents, but may have a tough task on her hands to make this happen. Her presence on Ramsay Street also means viewers will see how the full trio of Rebecchi children – Kirsha, Yashvi and Jay – interact together for the first time.
Elsewhere on Ramsay Street, tensions rise over Nicolette Stone as Paul Robinson becomes determined to bring her down. David Tanaka also clashes with his husband Aaron Brennan, regretting their baby deal with Nicolette.

Sheila Canning is also in for a nasty shock as her ex-partner Clive Gibbons becomes romantically entangled with Jane Harris.
Things only get worse when Sheila's health takes a turn for the worse, leading to a shock collapse.
Neighbours airs returns on Monday, January 4 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5. The show remains on screen on 10 Peach in Australia throughout the festive season.
