New on Netflix February: Every movie and TV show joining, from Nightflyers and Velvet Buzzsaw

We’re one month into 2019 and Netflix is showing no signs of slowing down.

It’s another big month for the streaming service that is currently celebrating the 15 Oscar nominations it received earlier this week, 10 of which went to Roma.

February sees yet more original content added to its ever-growing slate, chief of which are films Velvet Buzzsaw and High Flying Birds.

The former – a satirical thriller set in the contemporary art world of LA – unites Jake Gyllenhaal with Nightcrawler director Dan Gilroy, while the latter is a new release from Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven, Traffic). It follows André Holland’s sports agent who finds himself caught in the face-off between the basketball league and its players.

There’s also plenty of new series to add to your list, most notably Groundhog Day-style comedy series Russian Doll from Amy Poehler, Natasha Lyonne and Leslye Headland.

Syfy series Nightflyers – based on Game of Thrones author George RR Martin’s novella – will also be released.

In terms of existing films, Jordan Peele’s horror hit Get Out will arrive, as well as Jim Carrey comedy Liar Liar and the musical adaptation of Mamma Mia!. Something for everyone then.

You can find a full list of everything joining Netflix in February below.
