Netflix may have just introduced the world to the most bonkers dating show concept yet with a first look at their new series, Sexy Beasts.

The show takes The Masked Singer and blends it with First Dates, creating the ultimate ‘looks aren’t everything’ format.

Sexy Beasts originated on BBC Three back in 2014, running for only one series before getting the axe.

However, if the new trailer is anything to go by, this show is in it for the long haul - and Netflix has already given the green light to two seasons.

In the show, singletons looking for love are given the ultimate makeover, being turned into weird and wonderful creatures and animals to disguise their true selves.

Each of the six episodes will focus on one lonely heart as they’re matched with three potential suitors.

At the end of the dates, they will get to decide who they want to see without the mask on.

They’re then matched up on a series of dates to see if they can build a connection with someone new - without looks being a factor.

A beaver later declares he’s “a** first, personality second” when it comes to finding a match. Catastrophe star Rob Delaney provides the colourful commentary on the show, as whether you’re a dolphin or a scarecrow, you look for the perfect match.

Simon Welton, creator and executive producer for Lion TV, said: “Making Sexy Beasts for Netflix has been an incredibly exciting process.
