Apple’s iPhone X has not been a big hit, according to leaks from within the company – in fact, it’s ‘dead’ and the company will not make any more.

But leaks suggest that an upcoming, small, affordable iPhone will have at least some of the features of the iPhone X – namely a glass back and wireless charging.

The iPhone SE2 is expected to have a four inch screen, like the previous iPhone SE and iPhone 5, and has been tipped to launch this summer.

Another feature the phone is strongly rumoured to have inherited is that it will no longer have a headphone jack.

Ben Geskin, a prolific iPhone leaker, claims that the phone is already in mass production.

The news about iPhone X is less good. In fact, Apple is killing off the phone now, according to a report by Neil Campling, the co-head of banking group Mirabaud Securities.

In a leaked investor note by Campling, he said, ‘Consumers are turning their backs on high-priced smartphones.’

Campling said that sales of the device were so poor that Apple would kill it off immediately, saying that it was simply ‘too expensive’.
