September on Disney+ is looking to be an interesting month, with reality royalty returning to the streamer and Disney's biggest release of 2023 landing on the platform as well.
The Little Mermaid's live-action remake will debut on the streaming platform in September, allowing those who didn't get the chance to watch the film in cinemas to do so from the comfort of their own home.

On the TV side, September will see Disney+ release new seasons of reality series The Kardashians and sports documentary series Welcome to Wrexham, amongst other releases like FX's Justified reboot titled Justified: City Primeval.

New TV and films coming to Disney+ in September 2023
The Little Mermaid | 6 September
While it caused some controversy because it was considered "woke" by casting a person of colour in the lead role, The Little Mermaid proved to be one of Disney's best remakes to date with its refreshing new take on the classic story.
The film follows Ariel (Halle Bailey), a mermaid who trades her voice for a chance to be a human after meeting Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King). Its delightful soundtrack scored by Alan Merkin is added to by the musical ability of Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Bailey absolutely shines in the title role.
The Kardashians | 28 September
The Kardashian family are back with a brand new season of their Disney+ reality series, with viewers getting to follow Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie once again.
Season four will air on a weekly basis on the platform, and it will see the family experience new adventures, second chances and other challenges.
Welcome to Wrexham season 2 | 13 September
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds surprised the public when they announced they were buying Welsh football team Wrexham FC, but the duo showed their genuine love for the game and the people of Wrexham in the first season of their documentary.

An exclusive movie for Disney+, No One Will Save You follows Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever) a young woman who finds solace in her childhood home but is soon terrorised by extra-terrestrial beings who are intent on killing her.
