A new video has shown off the secret weapon of a male sex robot which is going on sale this year – a sense of humour.

‘Henry’, made by Realbotix, will cost from £8,000, and can also recite love poetry and even sing songs.

In a new video unveiled by makers Realbotix, Henry says in a flat, robotic voice, ‘What does a cloud with an itchy rash do? Find the nearest skyscraper.’

Makers Realbotix hope that people will buy Henry ‘for companionship’.

Matt McMullen, 48, explained: ‘Women have the same issues of loneliness as men.

‘People call them sex dolls but mostly it’s about companionship.

‘In this world of computers people are missing out on human interaction.’

McMullen has previously promised that his male sex robot – due later this year – will be capable of superhuman sexual performance, as you can plug it into the mains.

McMullen said users will be able to ‘plug the robot in’ so it can go ‘as long as you want’.
