Brad Pitt 'Suffering' After A Tough Year And THAT Chanel Advert

Brad Pitt has been one of the most successful, most famous Hollywood actors for about two decades now, respected and adored for his acting skills and beauty alike. But it seems like the shine may finally be fading from this mega star.

His recent Chanel advert was named one of the worst of the year, and being released at this time, as he approaches his 50th birthday he is apparently on the way to a classic mid-life crisis.

A source of The Sun told the paper that the 'Fight Club' actor is not used to being laughed at and, unsurprisingly is not enjoying it.

“He’s not in a great place at the moment. He’s on the home run to his 50th birthday and he was crucified over that hideous Chanel advert.

"He’s like a parody of himself in that ad — and he’s not used to being the butt of people’s jokes."

Even more depressing for Brad is his failure to win an Oscar in all his years in Hollywood. Despite a Best Actor nomination for 'Moneyball' last year, he is yet to ever take home an award.

“Brad has very high standards and expects the best when it comes to his work. And to be honest his recent films have done pretty well — just not well enough for him."

Apparently, "he set himself a goal of finally winning an Oscar before his 50th a long time ago. The chances of that happening now are zip.”

The reception of Pitt's main release this year, 'Killing Them Softly', is another reason for his personal doubt. After receiving mass critical acclaim and Oscar buzz, when it hit the box office it was a massive flop.

Not only that but his other movie, 'World War Z', which should have been released in time for the Oscar season, has been delayed until the summer. The action-packed horror film was set to wow people with its new take on the genre, and was even tipped to be the first zombie movie to win a Best Picture gong at February’s Academy Awards.

Unfortunately for 'The Tree of Life' star the film was apparently dogged with issues and Brad has found the delays tough. "It has lurched from crisis to crisis and everyone is turning to him to fix it — like he did with Moneyball and turned that into an Oscar contender. It’s been incredibly stressful."

Sources have also claimed he may be dumped from the July cover of a prestigious men’s mag in favour of 26-year-old actor and 'Social Network' star Armie Hammer.

Add to all this an engagement, which can be stressful at the best of times, to one of Hollywood's most notoriously eccentric women, Angelina Jolie and you can see why this past year has left Brad allegedly struggling.
