Brad Pitt's World War Z Body Double 'Paid £4 An Hour' Despite £250 Million Budget?

The actor enlisted to be Brad Pitt's body double for World War Z was apparently paid around £4.44 an hour for his work - a far cry from the real Pitt's rumoured £9 million.

David Paterson said he had to film alternate shots of many of Brad's scenes, and was advised never to speak to him.

He was paid £80 for a day's work, which works out at just over £4 an hour. The film itself is thought to have had a £250 million budget.

“I basically had to be Brad for the day and copy everything he did on screen," he told The Mirror.

“Brad was there the entire time, and they were filming over the course of months, so it must have been quite tough.

“I was paid £80 but it wasn’t anything to do with the money. I’m not too fussed about that."

He explained: “I did it for the experience. You get asked to do something like that and you can’t really say no.

“I didn’t get a VIP pass for the film, nothing like that at all, and I haven’t seen it yet. I walked away with around £80, no autograph and no VIP invites.”

David described Brad as a "very professional guy" after shooting different takes, most of which were at a supermarket in Glasgow.

"Brad and I ran through the supermarket putting tins and jars into the trolley, acting out different scenes, and I was following his actions.

"I wore identical clothes to him, jeans, blue jacket and T-shirt. I had the same physique as him, both slim built, though not any more as I’ve put on weight since then.

"Brad’s a very professional guy and I had a job to do and I just did it to the best of my ability."
