Eminem Gushes About Chemistry With Rihanna As Collaboration 'The Monster' Scores Number One

Eminem has revealed all about his latest chart-topping collaboration with Rihanna on 'The Monster,' admitting that he feels she was perfect for the feature as the public view them both as “nuts.”

The Slim Shady and 'Diamonds' songstress are currently at number one in the UK after surprisingly beating One Direction's 'Story Of My Life' to the top spot, marking the dynamic duo's second successful hit single after 2010's 'Love The Way You Lie' which also soared to the number one spot.

With their first outing already successful, it's hardly a surprise that Eminem tapped the singer up to feature on his new album 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' and the rapper explains why he has such great chemistry with the pop princess.

“The perception of the record, what it's saying, I thought it would be a good idea to have her on it because I think people look at us like we're both a little nuts,” Eminem told MTV News.

“That's one of the things that I was telling her in making the record. I think that people look at us a little crazy. As soon as I got the beat I just heard her on it.”

He continued: “I wanted to make sure that I had it finished first to be able to present to her, but once I had the rhymes done, I sent it to her. She laid the hook, sent it back. She smashed it like she does always. It's pretty incredible.”

Meanwhile, Eminem has been forced to defend himself against claims he uses homophobic language on his 'MMLP2' track 'Rap God' with the hip-hop legend explaining that those type of offensive words have been around in the genre for many years.

"I don't know how to say this without saying it how I've said it a million times,” the 41-year-old told Rolling Stone magazine.

“But that word, those kind of words, when I came up battle-rappin' or whatever, I never really equated those words..."

"To actually mean 'homosexual'?" the reporter finished. "Yeah. It was more like calling someone a b***h or a punk or a******e. So that word was just thrown around so freely back then.”
