One Giant Step For Hollywood! Tom Cruise 'Keen On Taking A Trip To Space'

We’ve heard of some pretty weird requests from celebrities, but Tom Cruise has revealed it would be a life-long dream of his to visit space.

The Hollywood star confessed to The Sun newspaper that he would love to board one of Richard Branson's upcoming commercial space flights – but was admitted that he would be cautious about being the first to take the trepid flight.

“Who wouldn't want to do something like that? I'm going to let a couple of other people test it out first but it would be great,” he told the tabloid.

Adding: “I was always hoping when I was a kid that we would be travelling to different planets by now.”

The 50-year-old actor star in the upcoming sci-fi movie Oblivion and also revealed that he is open to the idea of extraterrestrials living amongst other planets.

“I don't think you can actually count it out. It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe - but I've never met one!" he added.

Several celebrities have expressed interest in Branson’s Virgin Galactic's space flights, including Katy Perry, Ashton Kutcher and Tom Hanks.
