Liam Gallagher has shown his support for anti-fur campaigners PETA by confirming his fashion label Pretty Green is completely free of animal fur.

The chief executive of the former Oasis frontman's fashion line has explained that Pretty Green has a strict no fur policy and will clearly label faux fur trims on their clothes.

PETA's Senior Programme Manager Yvonne Taylor said: "We are delighted to add Liam to the list of truly talented visionaries and trendsetters who are able to design stylish, fashionable and popular clothing without the use of fur."

Liam seems to have a lot of support for animal rights as after reports claimed he had signed up as the face of charity Pup Aid in 2010 he told The Sun, he would be a crusader for dachshunds: "Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I’m back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall."

Although he seems passionate about helping animals he had less than loving things to say about his dogs.

Earlier this year he told the website: "I like winding me dogs up, I just stand there with the lead, shaking it for ages until they're sh***ing and peeing all over the floor. And I'm stood there going: 'Walkies!' Then I sit back down again."

In other Gallagher news Noel has shot down rumours that the band will reform for their 20th anniversary in 2014.

When Noel appeared on Chatty Man he told comedian Alan Car: "It would take Liam or myself to be very skint and I know that is not going to happen. The last time I saw Liam he didn't say much.

"The day will pass and people will realise the anniversary just has not happened."

It seems the brothers haven't spoken since last Christmas and this was only because their mother made them, Noel said: "Me and Liam have not spoken. I'm busy. We did text each other last Christmas because our mam made us."

Maybe they can reconcile for this years festive season for some much needed brotherly love.
